VBM Medizintechnik was founded 1981 by Mr. Volker Bertram in Sulz/Neckar.
Sulz is located in the southwest of Germany, close to the Black Forest, between Stuttgart and Zürich.
145 people are employed in the fields of research and development, production, marketing and sales.

VBM specialises in the development of innovative respiration products for anaesthesia and intensive care, emergency products for difficult airway management and Tourniquets with cuffs for surgical operations in a bloodless field.

VBM products are sold into more than 80 countires worldwide through distributors or own subsidiaries.

VBM products are assembled and packed in cleanrooms according to ISO-class 7 and 8 (US Fed. Std. 10.000 / 100.000).

The VBM quality management system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 13485. VBM products fulfil the essential requirements of the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC and are labelled with the CE mark.
Additionally VBM products meet the requirements of the following countries:
US FDA (QSR/GMP 21 CFR 820), Canada (CMDR/CMDCAS), Australia (TGR), Japan (PAL) and Taiwan (QSD).
